Request
for Information
The Early Intervention Section (EIS),
Children with Special Health Needs, Family Health Services Division anticipates
issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for early intervention services,
statewide. Services will include
audiological services, intensive behavioral support (discrete trial training),
interpretation services (foreign language and sign language), translation
services (foreign languages); nutritional services, occupational therapy,
physical therapy, psychological services, social work services, special
instruction, speech language pathology services, transportation, and vision
services. All services shall be delivered as conveniently and non-intrusively
as possible, and within the child and family’s natural environment. The
contract term is anticipated to be from July 1, 2010, or the State’s Notice To
Proceed, through June 30, 2012, with an option to extend for specified periods
of time not to exceed two (2) years or for not more than two (2) additional
twelve (12) month periods. Multiple
contracts will be awarded. The
objective of this Request for Information is to solicit input from the general
community to accomplish the work required by the DOH.

from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., HST, at the Early Intervention Section, 1350 S.
King Street, Suite 200. Interested

The DOH reserves the right to incorporate, or
not to incorporate, in a solicitation, if issued, any recommendations presented
in the response to this Request for Information. Neither the purchasing agency nor the participant responding has
any obligation under this Request for Information.
