AREA AGENCIES ON AGING
Older adults are not all alike. They differ because of their cultures, life histories, health, and social and financial situations. But all older adults want to be independent, healthy, feel good about themselves, and have caring relationships.
Planning and Service Areas
Under the federal Older
Americans Act, the Executive Office on Aging divided the State
into four county level Planning and Services Areas (PSA's). EOA
designated an Area Agency on Aging for each PSA to coordinate the
services and advocate for the older persons in their PSA.
There are four agencies to coordinate the services and advocate for the older persons in each Planning and Service Area (PSA).
Private and public sector service providers complete the aging network.
