Following is a listing of the State Procurement Office (SPO) scheduled workshops. Check this site regularly. Scheduled workshops may change and new classes will be added.

Waitlists and Confirmation for workshops

There are no Wait Lists for workshops.
This website does not automatically shut down a session when it fills. The confirmation page only confirms the information you entered. Some sessions have filled too quickly for us to catch. To verify that you are confirmed to attend please check who registered 2 days prior to the session. You can search by entering your last name.
If you are registering someone else be sure to remind them to check who registered and the training schedule for changes and handouts prior to the session.

Handouts

Handouts will be available prior to the workshop on the workshop schedule page and will not be distributed at the workshop.
Please check the website a day or two prior to the workshop. Sometimes existing handouts are updated. If so, a notice will be beside the handout link.

Neighbor Island workshops

HePS - Hawaii eProcurement System- How often HePS training is offered: Basic User Training for Small Purchase Request for Quotes (HePS 100) - every 2 to 3 months as needed, HePS Refresher for Buyers (HePS 105) -every other month as needed, HePS Beyond the Basics for Buyers (HePS 200) -every 6-12 weeks, as needed. HePS User Training for Competitive Sealed Bids (HePS 300) every month as needed Registration for sessions will start during the first two weeks of the month before training. Note:Prerequisites (included with each workshop description) must be met prior to taking any HePS training. Only users who have been delegated authority by the head of purchasing agency to issue solicitations on HePS may be trained. Effective May and August 2009 respectively, registration for HePS 100 and HePS 300 shall be conducted through your Department HePS System Administrator. Note: Prior to attending HePS workshops, attendees must take the respective SPO workshop for the method of procurement for which they will be using HePS. Attendance at the SPO Workshop No. 120 Small Purchases is required prior to attending HePS Basic User Training for Small Purchase Request for Quotes (HePS 100) Training. Likewise, attendance at SPO workshop No. 100 Competitive Sealed Bids is required prior to attending HePS 300- Basic User Training for Competitive Sealed Bids. Note: The SPO Small Purchase (120) and Competitive Sealed Bid (100) workshops are at the Kalanimoku Bldg, 1151 Punchbowl St. room 322, Honolulu.
